Objectlessness 2 tracks Running time: 1:08:26 Released: 02/2008 |
There is a big gap between “rational”, verbal language and the pre-symbolic language of our emotional and unconscious mind. Music is perceived partly with our conscious mind, who can analyze it and reflect on it. On another part, it is perceived by our unconsciousness, by our “primal consciousness” that lies “under” the rational mind. The idea: Experimental music, especially that of a more droning character, can easier “get in touch” or be unconsciously connected with this primal state of mind. It is music that is linked with unconscious fantasies coming from a pre-verbal sphere of existence... the phase of life based... more info

Ocean Drive 6 tracks Running time: 1:18:39 Released: 04/2006 |
SynGate CD-R 2068 - originally released in 1999 - Sequencer albums have certainly made a dramatic resurgence over the last few years but with quality like this the style hardly seems to be running out of steam, rather it is going from strength to strength. 'Ocean Drive' follows a much more 'Berlin school' path but also takes them from being a good band to being one of the very best putting them up with Ramp and Rainbow Serpent. A heartbeat gently pulses over weird, mysterious drones but you only have to wait a minute before a shuffling sequence drifts in and out... more info

Ocean of Light 17 tracks Running time: 1:16:56 Released: 11/2004 |
"Ocean of Light" is an excellent introduction to the artists on AD Music. The CD is primarily a compilation of previously released tracks, (although there are 2 unreleased pieces) with a coherence defined by the label's vision and style. No ambient doodling here and no sugar sweet, new age wallpaper music either. more info

Ocean of Serenity 5 tracks Running time: 0:55:38 Released: 06/1993 |
This album was created 4 years after 'Icesteps' and was rightly hailed by many as his most inspired work to date. Considering the quality of his previous albums, the fact that he seems to "raise the ante" with each release is amazing. Glyn's previous works displayed his uncanny ability to harmonise sequences with breathtaking melodies. 'Ocean of Serenity' continues this approach and the title track, like so much of Glyn's work, is based around a stunningly beautiful yet simple theme which manifests itself in many guises. The opening refrains build to a climax then relax to a solitude which initially hints... more info
