The four tracks which make up the first side of the original album are uptempo and rhythmic from start to finish with contemporary dance influences, muscular drum and percussion programming, lead guitar and rock influenced solos.

Initially a respected rock drummer with various London bands in the 70's and 80's, Beasley expanded his skills to keyboards and electronic music. In 1985 he co-founded AMP Records with Mark Jenkins and Ashok Prema and contributed three tracks to the label's debut release - 'The AMP Records Compilation Album'.

He performed live frequently in the 80's, and previewed 'Coruscation' on a 1986 UK Tour before releasing it to co-incide with a performance at the 1987 UK Electronica Festival.

Beasley composed soundtrack music in the 90's and remixed, remastered 'Coruscation' to mark the 20th anniversary in November 2007.

He was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease in 2003 which has restricted the use of his hands and fingers, leading him to employ sequencing and programming more extensively in new compositions.

He is currently (2018) writing and recording several projects across a range of genres, including at least one new album - 'The Tree That Wished to Dance'.
