Gorgeous silken pads provide a rather misleadingly tranquil start to ‘Descent Into The Abyss’. Then POW! In comes an awesome steamroller of a sequence. The foot is put down further on the accelerator as an insistent rhythm and stunning laser flashing lead flash over the top. This is like seventies Jarre at its most melodic but also most powerful.
