The first five numbers were taken from what I think was the first set from their awesome September 2003 National Space Centre Concert. Track sixth is a studio track. All the material here is new, the music reaching new heights as their collaboration continues. We begin with 'L'Infernal'. Birdsong mixes with other calming sounds and effects followed by a looped and processed sound sample courtesy (or certainly not!) of Tony Blair. Tracks two to six were taken from what I think was the second set from their awesome September 2003 National Space Centre Concert. The first however, 'The Great Slow Down' is a new one from the studio. Vast symphonic pads create quite an epic feel. In the third minute ethnic vocal samples can be heard then text taken from some news programme, all underpinned by a gentle sequence which gradually increases in prominence as it rises through the mix. Lovely little melodic touches add a nice gentle quality to what is becoming quite intense backing. Extra energy comes in the... more info

The music here was recorded during rehearsals for their 2003 National Space Centre concert thus does have a rather improvised feel, all the tracks running into one. The titles are all rather humorous, some of them you will get some of them you won't. 'In the Regions of Taxreturn' starts off with windy sounds through which a chugging sequence and slow rather whimsical melody emerges. It's a nice relaxed number with real character.
