The Hawds fifth album, recorded in 2004, sees the introduction of Dave Butler on drums. Again the Little Big Horns feature on many tracks, as do Regine Candler, Lauren Candler, Ginny Murray and Katie Butler. Many thanks for their support. Thanks also to Andy Longhurst for his production skills on "Such A Long Way", and also to Bob Rudge(Pedal steel) and Bimbo Acock(Soprano saxaphone). more info

Call It What You Like 17 tracks Running time: 1:01:25 Released: 04/2008 |
By 1999 the Hawds had three new members, Jo-Ann Butler(Percussion and backing vocals), Mark Perry(Guitar) and Simon Riley on drums. Also featuring are Andy Gilliams(Trombone),Duncan Laker(Tuba), Lauren Candler(Vocals), Alan Burke(Vocals) and Mick Duff(Guitar). Express Strain 12 tracks Running time: 0:45:46 Released: 03/2008 |
Recorded in 1996, Express Strain sees the inclusion of Mark Perry on guitar and Andy Gilliams on trombone. It is also the last album featuring Nigel Harris on drums, although he pops up on subsequent albums singing backing vocals. Beginning a slow descent into lunacy with tracks such as "The shadowy world of shopping" and "Erganergalumph", The Hawds show a complete disregard for any kind of commercial success, or (it has to be said) artistic integrity. more info

Ordi I Vostoka 10 tracks Running time: 0:34:33 Released: 02/2008 |
The Hawds second album released in 1994, saw the inclusion of Steve Waller on guitar and vocals. Steve spent the last years of his life in Stroud, and we were proud to call him "Hawd". He is sadly missed, but lives on through this music. Again eclectisism was the order of the day, with the Little Big Horns featuring for the first time. more info

Trapped and ready 10 tracks Running time: 0:38:04 Released: 08/1992 |
Trapped and ready was recorded in 1992 on a 1 inch Brennel 8 track machine using an Eela broadcast mixing desk. All the drums were played on a Simmons SDX drum sampler. (The pads soon gave out after this, so all subsequent albums used real drums.) Mixed onto a Sony portable DAT, the origonal was released on cassette, so has not been heard in its pristine glory-----until now! more info
